Ecological Bonus
The Ecological Bonus is a national subsidy for the purchase or rental of vehicles. It applies to electric cars, hydrogen-powered vehicles, or a combination of both as dedicated energy sources. The bonus is available for both new and used vehicles. Its amount is determined based on the degree of motorization and the purchase price of the vehicle. Natural persons can benefit from this subsidy once every three years. As of January this year, the maximum subsidy has been reduced from 6,000 euros last year to 5,000 euros.

It applies to individuals whose unit reference tax income is less than or equal to 14,089 euros and who either travel more than 30 kilometers from home to work or drive more than 12,000 kilometers per year in their personal vehicle for professional activities.

ZFE surcharge
An additional subsidy of 1,000 euros is available for those living or working in Low Emission Zones (EPZ). This subsidy can be granted without the need for community assistance, and an additional 1,000 euros can be provided by the state. Residing or working in any of these zones qualifies for the subsidy. Therefore, if combined with local authority assistance, the additional surcharge in EPZs can reach up to 3,000 euros.
